Airborne Empire: Sound Design & Audio Implementation Breakdowns

My sound breakdowns of The Wandering Band's Airborne Empire: winner of Best City Builder at the Gameoneer Awards, reveal my process behind the game's sound design and audio systems. This sequel to the BAFTA-nominated Airborne Kingdom takes place in a dystopian world where only hyperintelligent birds are left that forgot how to fly. See how I added to the game's personality and polish with custom recordings, 'audio pillars', voice management, designing around the isometric camera view, and more.

Tearoom of Terror: Sound Design & Audio Implementation 

This cozy-horror visual novel from Sundew Studios needed a custom audio implementation solution for the combo of Unity, Fungus, and Spine along with tactile foley for all the crafting options in the game. I've devised those along with sound design for gross, creepy sounds to go along with the dark narrative that centers around poisoning your tearoom patrons.

Twinkleby: Additional Sound Design
& Audio Implementation

I provided extra sound design, foley, and audio implementation to Twinkleby from Might and Delight in their last month of development. They needed someone who could dive into their Unity and FMOD projects ASAP without supervision to complete some of the peskier sounds and script event references for animations. 

Letterhead 2: Sound Design 

Here's a sample of all the sound effects I made for the mobile game Letterhead 2 as their original Sound Designer. These sound needed to be tactile, highly repeatable for playing on mobile, and rewarding. Like Letterhead, nearly all the layers for each sound effect were made with original recordings. I've shared my foley from this on socials.

Letterhead: Sound Design Breakdown (Native Unity)

This is my breakdown of my creative process as the Sound Designer for a Boggle clone called Letterhead, where I show how I created its distinct library and sound effects. It was made in Unity for Houlihan with native audio implementation. All but four layers used in these SFX were original recordings!
